Now
A short status. What I am doing this season, what I am paying attention to, what I am saying no to. In the spirit of the /now movement.
- Where
- Southeast Asia for the next year. Currently in Manila, La Union in June. Planned: Japan, Taiwan, Cambodia later in 2026. If you are in any of those places at the right time, let me know.
- Building
- Sola, daily. Country guides for new destinations, conversations with women travellers about what they want next, and the agentic loops that turn those conversations into shipped features.
- Training
- Open water swimming. Working up to a 2km open water race later this year. The discipline of getting better at one slow physical thing balances out the speed of everything else.
- Writing
- Essays as often as I have something worth saying, on AI-native travel companies and the segments the major platforms have not been built for. Most recent one: why women pay more to travel.
- Reading
- Kate Manne on the logic of misogyny. Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o on decolonising the mind. Garry Tan and the YC writing on self-improving companies.
- Thinking about
- How to grow Sola to its first thousand users without raising. How small product teams use AI to serve segments the big platforms cannot. Which loops to automate, where to keep humans. The distribution problem for a solo-built consumer product is what I am working through right now.
- Available for
- Selective digital growth and AI product consulting. Two to three engagements at a time, alongside Sola.
- Not doing
- Fundraising. Generic tech-thought-leader content. Time-heavy one-off projects that do not compound. Saying yes to fewer things this year so the few I do say yes to can actually work.
