Private clients
The record on your family, kept accurate.
A family's reputation now forms online before it forms in person. Before any meeting, people search the name on Google or ask a tool like ChatGPT, and they believe what they read. For most prominent families parts of that answer are out of date, mixed up with someone else, or simply wrong. I find the errors, correct them at the source, and keep watch so you never have to think about it.
The state of the record
My research platform runs structured assessments of how prominent people and families are represented across Google search, the broader web, and AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini. The most recent assessment, August 2026, covered a sample of prominent business families across Southern Africa and Asia.
- 100% of the AI answers assessed contained at least one materially false or stale claim about the family.
- 36% held a living family member to be dead or probably dead.
- 45% of the families were mid-succession, with a successor who had no presence of their own at the moment control passed.
Method: the platform puts the questions a stranger would ask to each tool, extracts every factual claim in the answers, traces each claim to the source feeding it, and verifies it against the published record, from company filings to the families' own announcements. Every finding carries a public source. No private information is gathered.
The work
The audit
Every member of the family is assessed across Google and the major AI tools: what is said, what is wrong, what is missing, and where each error comes from. The family receives one printed brief, ranked by consequence, with every finding tied to a public source and a plan to correct it.
The corrections
Each error is corrected where it lives: in the records that Google and the AI tools actually read, not papered over with new content. Alongside the corrections, the parts of the record the family should own get built properly: definitive biographies, and an accurate account of the family, its office and its philanthropy, placed where Google and the AI tools actually look. The result is a record the family owns rather than one it inherits.
The watch
A quiet, continuous watch on the family name across news, reviews, social platforms and forums, run on monitoring software I built and operate. You receive a human-reviewed brief each month and a same-day call when something needs attention.
How I work
- Through your advisors, if you prefer. The engagement can run entirely through family counsel or the family office, and law firms and family offices can retain me directly as part of their own bench.
- Confidential by default. A confidentiality undertaking is signed before any work begins, and no client is ever named or referenced.
- The public record only. I work with published and officially filed sources. I do not compile private information, and I do not take work whose purpose is to bury true reporting.
- Fixed fees, quoted in advance. Ongoing work is billed quarterly. There are no hourly meters and no surprises.
Why me
I am a South African technology entrepreneur. I build custom software and technology, including the research and monitoring platform behind these assessments, which companies use to track what is said about them and act on it, with a published, measured accuracy method.
Before building my own tools I spent over a decade in marketing technology, data and analytics, from behavioural-change work to measurement, dashboards and reporting, helping organisations in South Africa, the United Kingdom and Southeast Asia make sense of their data and decide what to do with it. I work independently, which is why the confidentiality can be absolute.
If you advise families: ask ChatGPT who your most prominent client is, and read the answer the way a stranger meeting them next week will. Then write to me.
